Job Description

We are looking for a friendly and efficient Cashier to manage customer transactions at the point of sale. The ideal candidate will handle payments, provide excellent customer service, and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases.
Operate cash registers, handle cash, credit, or electronic payments accurately.
Scan goods and calculate total prices, including taxes and discounts.
Issue receipts, refunds, or change due to customers.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints or direct them to appropriate personnel.
Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and transactions.
Assist in inventory management by notifying supervisors about low stock or discrepancies.
Key Skills:
Basic math and cash handling skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work under pressure during busy periods
Honesty and integrity
Basic computer skills (for operating POS systems)
Team player attitude
