Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Cashier Supervisor to join our fast-paced Discount Centre team. The successful candidate will oversee cashier operations, ensure accuracy in transactions, and deliver excellent customer service while leading and supporting a team of cashiers.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, train, and guide a team of cashiers Ensure accuracy of cash handling, POS transactions, and daily sales reports Monitor cashier performance and maintain high customer service standards Handle and resolve customer complaints, returns, exchanges, coupons, and disputes professionally Educate cashiers on loss prevention, theft awareness, and company procedures Oversee proper functioning and maintenance of POS systems, scanners, and printers Track, reconcile, and report daily cash collections and sales summaries Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and discipline at checkout areas Perform regular database backups and ensure data security Input and verify text-based and numerical data accurately Search, review, and manage information from records and files Provide occasional administrative and reporting support Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred) Proven experience as a Cashier Supervisor / Checkout Supervisor or similar role Experience managing a team in a retail, supermarket, or hypermarket environment Strong knowledge of POS systems and cash-handling procedures Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, basic reporting) Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to resolve conflicts effectively and professionally Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends
