Job Description
The Cashier is responsible for managing customer transactions efficiently, providing friendly service, and ensuring accuracy in all payment processes. This role supports smooth front-of-house operations and maintains a clean, organized work area.
Key Responsibilities
Handle customer payments through cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods Process orders accurately using the POS system Issue receipts, refunds, or change as needed Ensure cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift Provide excellent customer service and address guest inquiries politely Coordinate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter and surrounding area Follow company procedures for cash handling and financial transactions Assist with resolving payment discrepancies Support front-of-house operations as needed during busy periods
Qualifications
Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred Basic math skills and comfort handling cash Familiarity with POS systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
