Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role involves processing payments, handling cash, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities: * Customer Service:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries.
  • Provide a friendly and efficient checkout experience.
  • Address customer concerns or escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Transaction Processing:
  • Scan items, process payments (cash, credit, debit, mobile payments), and issue receipts.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to store policy.
  • Maintain accuracy in cash handling and register balancing.
  • Sales & Promotions:
  • Inform customers about ongoing promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs.
  • Upsell or cross-sell products when appropriate.
  • Store Maintenance:
  • Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
  • Restock bags, receipt paper, and other supplies as needed.
  • Assist with light stocking or merchandising tasks if required.
