Job Summary:

Koncrete Space, a dynamic coffee shop concept store and pop-up space, is seeking a skilled Part-Time Accountant to join our team. As a Part-Time Accountant at Koncrete Space, you will assist in managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the financial health and compliance of our establishment on a part-time basis. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual to contribute to our growing business while accommodating other commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Keeping:

- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for Koncrete Space.

- Record financial transactions, including sales, expenses, and inventory adjustments.

2. Financial Reporting:

- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

- Support in analyzing financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Collaborate with management to assist in the development and monitoring of budgets for various departments and projects.

- Aid in financial forecasting and planning to support business growth and sustainability.

4. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

- Assist in managing accounts payable to ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

- Provide support in monitoring accounts receivable and follow up on overdue accounts.

5. Bank Reconciliation:

- Assist with bank statement reconciliation to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

6. Tax Compliance:

- Support efforts to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including sales tax and payroll tax.

7. Inventory Management:

- Help track and manage inventory levels, including participating in regular stock counts and reconciliation.

- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste.

8. Financial Audits:

- Assist in coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation during audits.

- Help implement audit recommendations and improve internal controls as needed.

9. Financial Software and Systems:

- Utilize accounting software to assist with managing financial transactions and generating reports.

- Recommend and participate in improvements to financial systems and processes.

10. Compliance and Documentation:

- Aid in maintaining accurate financial documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in progress).

- Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is a plus.

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

- Effective communication skills for collaboration with various teams.

- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is a plus.

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
