Job Responsibility

The following section outlines a more detailed, but not exhaustive, description of the duties pertinent to this post.

Key responsibilities and capabilities:



Receive and receipt school tuition/fee payments; and to accurately report this information to the school Accounts Officer.

Disbursement of petty cash as instructed by school Accounts Officer.

Reconcile and balance petty cash.

Prepare banking deposits as requested.

Prepare Bank, Cash and Supplier reconciliation.

Keep and maintain all records of fees, records pertaining to other school income and financial transactions.

Assist the school Accountant and Assistant Accountant in day-to-day accounting procedures.

Provide administrative support to Head of Accounts and Finance Manager

Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment

Working with spreadsheets, sales, general ledgers and journals.

Preparing Invoices/Payment Letters to parents & also raising the Invoices in The Accounting System.

Managing Daily Cash /Cheque Transactions (Also Deposits) , Raising Payment Receipts ,

Making Cash Collection Reports.

Controlling Customer credit and chasing debt.

Reconciling finance accounts (Bank Accounts Etc.)

Person Specification :



Sound Accounting knowledge

Excellent administrative and organisational skills

Professional telephone manner combined with a high level of spoken and written English

A keen eye for detail and a methodical and diligent approach to ensure

Quality and accurate results to any given task

Great customer service orientation

Computer literate including use of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel

Able to adapt quickly to change

Effective communicator

To take part in activities such as Open Evenings, Parents' Evenings, Sports' days, etc.
