Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, accurate, and customer-oriented

Experienced Cashier

to manage all point-of-sale (POS) transactions efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical proficiency, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process sales, including cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions, with speed and accuracy. Accurately count and balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift (cash accountability). Greet customers warmly, efficiently process their purchases, and assist with general inquiries. Handle returns, exchanges, and voids following established company procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout area. Promote special offers, loyalty programs, and new products as required. Ensure compliance with all internal security and sanitation procedures, particularly those related to cash handling and (if applicable) food safety.

Experience:

Minimum of

2 to 3 years

of continuous, verifiable experience as a Cashier, Sales Associate, or in a similar customer-facing role.

Documentation:

Must possess a

valid Qatar ID (QID)

Certification (F&B/Retail):

Must possess a

valid Food Handlers Certificate (FHC)

.

Skills and Proficiencies:

Proven proficiency in operating electronic Point of Sale (POS) systems. Exceptional mathematical ability and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all transactions. Strong commitment to exemplary customer service. Excellent communication skills in English (proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus). Ability to stand for extended periods and handle cash responsibly.
