A Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, handling various payment methods, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
Greet customers warmly, assist with product inquiries, and provide information on promotions or store policies.
Transaction Processing:
Accurately scan items, apply discounts or coupons, and process payments through cash, credit/debit cards, or digital wallets.
Cash Handling:
Provide correct change, manage cash drawer, and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
Returns and Exchanges:
Process returns or exchanges in accordance with store policies, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Store Maintenance:
Keep the checkout area clean and organized, and assist in restocking shelves as needed.
Compliance:
Adhere to all company policies, including those related to cash handling, security, and customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in retail or customer service are a plus.
Experience:
Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer-facing role is preferred, experience in building materials is highly desirable .
Technical Skills:
Basic math skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Communication:
Strong verbal communication skills in English, Hindi knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
Customer Service:
Friendly, approachable demeanour with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Flexibility:
Ability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Salary :- 1500AED TO 2200AED
