Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Cashier you are responsible for handling customer transactions quickly and accurately, maintaining a clean work area, and providing friendly, attentive service. You will be the first point of contact and plays a key role in creating a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers with a warm, professional attitude. Accurately process payments using the POS system (cash, card, digital wallets). Handle receipts, refunds, and change as needed. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cashier station. Promoting and recommending menu options to customers Assist with packing takeaway orders and answering customer questions. Inform customers about promotions, daily specials, or loyalty programs. Support cafe team during busy hours (e.g., helping serve or clearing tables). Updating signage and displays to attract customers. Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of the shift. Follow all food safety, hygiene, and cash handling procedures. Make sure all opening and closing duties are done as per in-charge shift/supervisor assigned task.

Qualifications:

Experience as cashier or customer service experience in a cafe or F&B setting preferred. Basic knowledge of POS systems and handling cash. Strong communication and people skills. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Willingness to work in shifting schedule.
