Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for carpentry and joinery projects using CAD software. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications. Create and modify shop drawings, assembly drawings, and material lists. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulations. Review and analyze project requirements to provide accurate estimates of materials and labor costs. Assist in the development of project timelines and schedules. Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project feasibility. Provide technical support and guidance to the production team during the construction phase.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a draftsman in carpentry and joinery or a related field. Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other design tools. Strong understanding of carpentry and joinery techniques and materials. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Relevant certification or degree in drafting, carpentry, or a related field is preferred.
