Job Description

Job Purpose:

To perform carpentry and painting works, including repair, maintenance, and finishing of building structures, furniture, and surfaces. The role ensures high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely completion of assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:Carpentry Works:

Perform repair, installation, and maintenance of wooden doors, windows, cabinets, furniture, and partitions. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood, plywood, or other materials according to specifications. Repair or replace damaged wooden parts and fittings. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Ensure proper finishing, alignment, and safety standards in all carpentry work.

Painting Works:

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and removing old paint or varnish. Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Ensure smooth and uniform surface finishes on walls, ceilings, doors, and furniture. Protect surrounding areas from paint splatter or damage during painting work. Follow proper drying and coating techniques to ensure long-lasting results.

General Maintenance & Safety:

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete tasks efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and storage spaces. Follow all health and safety regulations while handling tools, paints, and materials. Assist other maintenance team members as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in carpentry/painting preferred. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in carpentry and painting work (preferably in facilities or building maintenance). Good knowledge of materials, finishes, and tools used in carpentry and painting. Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance practices.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to read and follow technical drawings or instructions. Good time management and problem-solving skills. Team player with a positive and responsible attitude.
