The Event Production Carpenter is responsible for building, assembling, and dismantling wooden structures, stages, booths, and props for events. This role requires precision, creativity, and adherence to deadlines to ensure high-quality event setups.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct, assemble, and install event structures such as stages, platforms, exhibition booths, and props.
Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and production plans.
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently for cutting, shaping, and joining wood or other materials.
Collaborate with the production team to meet design specifications and deadlines.
Ensure all structures are safe, stable, and meet quality standards.
Repair or modify structures as required during events.
Load, unload, and transport materials to and from event sites.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Adhere to safety protocols and company policies during all production activities.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in carpentry, preferably in event production or set design.
Ability to read technical drawings and layouts.
Proficient in using carpentry tools and machinery.
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work on-site.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or vocational training in carpentry/construction.
Previous experience in event setups, stage building, or related production work is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Work primarily on event sites, indoors or outdoors.
May require long hours, including evenings, weekends, or travel to event locations.
