Oversees the construction, erection, and installation and repair of structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, and conforming to local building codes. Studies blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated. Selects specified type of lumber or other materials. Prepares layout, using rule, framing square, and calipers. Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials, using pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. Shapes materials to prescribed measurements, using saws,, chisels, and planes. Assembles cut and shaped materials ad fastens them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue. Verifies trueness of structure with plumb bob and carpenter's level. Erects framework for structure and lays sub-flooring. Builds stairs and lays out and installs partitions.
General Foreman - Possesses all of the journey level skills, having verifiable minimum experience and/or holds and accepted certification, license and/or degree in a specific craft. Usually considered the most experienced, highest skilled professional in their respective field. May provide supervision for a specific craft crew. Requires no supervision.
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the "General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities" addendum.

Basic Job Requirements High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and five (5) years to eight (8) years related experience.
Requires the job knowledge, skill level and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Journey level certification or equivalent
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have a Secret Security Clearance
Other Job Requirements Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.
