Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for fabricating, installing, refurbishing, and maintaining carpentry works, interior fittings, and fixtures in accommodation and office premises. Works primarily in a workshop and occasionally on-site assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

o Fabricate and assemble wood and plastic units and fittings. o Install, repair, and maintain cabinets, cots, workstations, and other fixtures. o Measure, mark out, and set out jobs accurately on-site. o Ensure machinery and tools are maintained and functioning correctly. o Estimate material quantities and job costs. o Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards. o Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs. o Respond promptly to maintenance requests while minimizing disruption to staff.

Minimum Qualifications / Education Experience / Knowledge:

o Vocational course in Carpentry. o Minimum 2 years' relevant experience. o Strong knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, and equipment. o Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and supervisors.

Attention to detail and quality workmanship. o Strong problem-solving skills. o Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments, including long hours, weekends, and holidays. o Mindful of cost efficiency in materials and project timelines.

. Working Environment

: o Workshop-based with regular travel to on-site locations as required. o Physically demanding role requiring hands-on work with tools and materials.

6. Reporting Line

: o Reports to: Admin Executive / Facilities Assistant Manager.

7. Performance Indicators: o

Quality and accuracy of completed work. o Timeliness in meeting installation and maintenance schedules. o Adherence to safety and operational standards. o Efficient use of materials and resources, with minimal waste. o Cost-saving measures implemented without compromising quality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
