Build, assemble, and install wooden structures, furniture, cabinets, doors, windows, and frameworks.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
Measure, cut, shape, and join wood, plywood, MDF, or other materials according to specifications.
2. Repairs & Maintenance
Repair and refurbish damaged furniture, wooden structures, or fixtures.
Replace or adjust doors, hinges, locks, and wooden fittings.
Perform routine maintenance of wooden items to extend durability.
3. Finishing & Detailing
Apply varnish, polish, paint, or other finishes to completed woodwork.
Sand, smooth, and prepare surfaces for finishing.
Ensure accuracy, smooth edges, and high-quality workmanship.
4. Tools & Equipment Handling
Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Ensure correct use of materials to minimize waste.
5. Site Preparation & Installation
Install flooring, paneling, partitions, and ceilings as required.
Prepare layouts and mark cutting lines on materials.
Work on-site to assemble and fit wood structures in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
6. Safety & Compliance
Follow health and safety guidelines on worksites.
Use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Comply with company standards and local regulations.
7. Quality Control
Inspect completed woodwork to ensure it meets design, strength, and safety standards.
Make necessary adjustments or corrections to achieve precision.
8. Teamwork & Communication
Coordinate with engineers, architects, supervisors, and other workers.
Provide material requirements and progress updates to the supervisor.
Train or guide junior carpenters and helpers when needed.
