Rixos Qetaifan Island North Opening mid 2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sq m of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Slated to make its debut right before the World Cup, Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s waterpark attraction The Icon Tower, the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres in height.
Carpenter - Hotel This position is responsible for the Hotel Area maintenance and repair works consist of preventive/planned and reactive maintenance, daily operations.

What you will be doing:

• The ability to repair any broken items that are made of timber or timber products such as luggage racks, furniture, picture frames, desks, chairs, mirrors, etc.
• The ability to install maintain and repair locks, ironmongery, fixtures and fittings throughout the hotel.
• The ability to maintain and repair hotel wooden themes
• The ability to perform plasterboard works (mount/demount)
• The ability to repair and maintain the Banquet partition door system
• The ability to install and repair mirrors, artwork and glazing
• The ability to install and repair wall tiles and floor tiling
• The ability to repair and maintain the wooden floors in the property
• The ability to repair plinth and window mechanisms
• The ability to repair and maintain sliding mechanism
• The ability to install, repair and maintain service hatches
• The ability to complete all assigned work in a safe and complete fashion.
• The ability to use all safety precautions at all times when using tools, chemicals, ladders, or other potentially dangerous equipment or supplies.
• The ability to complete all assigned project in a timely fashion.
• The ability to carry out repairs to work orders or inspection reports submitted by departments.
• The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
• The ability to ensure a clean, neat and organized work area.
• The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Rixos Brand.
• The ability to handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.
• The ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees.
• The ability to respond properly in any emergency or safety situation.
• The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management and staff.

Your experience and skills include:

• Apprenticeship or other form of training in painting and decorating / carpentry preferable / marble polishing and crystallization / furniture assembly / upholstery
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track records
• Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
• Hotel experience in 5-star hotel.
• Blueprints reading knowledge
• Service-oriented with an eye for details
• Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
