About the Role
Qatar Aviation Services Cargo division is currently recruiting for Cargo Security Manager to join the team.
We are looking for a strong individual who can establish and maintain cooperative relationships with Ministry of Interior, Customs, HIA, Other Airlines management and stakeholders, and cultivate a security culture within the workforce.
The role will be responsible for ensuring QAS Cargo is fully compliant with all security requirements by establishing and maintaining a security compliance strategy in alignment with the AOSP, QCAA and international regulators requirements. As Cargo Security Manager you will maintain continuity of operations and safeguard the facility, cargo and mail, and employees working at the Doha Hub. Contribute to the reduction of risk by analyzing the effectiveness security measures across Cargo campus.
Accountabilities:
Strategic:
Contribute to developing Security compliance strategy in line with the AOSP, QCAA and international regulators requirements.
Develop risk assessments related to key security threats within Cargo.
Develop and maintain annual budget/organizational structure to include sufficient resources to meet the security commitments and objectives of all Cargo Customer Airlines.
Operational:
Maintain the QAS Cargo Security Quality Control Program
Maintain QCAA approval of the QAS Cargo Security program
Develop SPI performance metrics annual based on continuous improvement. Prepare review monthly for Senior management.
Lead the QAS Cargo Security team while creating a work environment which promotes teamwork and excellence.
Develop cargo security communications to create awareness and provide input to the cargo newsletter, and other communications are required.
Communicate to relevant stakeholders on the implementation of new procedures, initiatives, audits and Directorate for Transport (DFT-UK) compliance are required.
Maintain RA3 (EU/UK) validation.
Deliver promotional events and activities within the Cargo terminal that encourages a Security Culture.
Ensure continuous improvement b ensuing all security occurrences and incidents are reported, investigated, reviewed and trend analyzed with corrective action identified and effectiveness checks conducted.
Define security objectives in line with QR's corporate security policy and ensure delivery of all security related KPI's
Ensure information concerning security matters and industry updates is informed to all concerned and recorded.
Conduct frequent security internal audits and inspections.
Evaluate current processes to ensure compliance of all QAS Cargo activities and functions relative to security.
Review and assess security related training across the Cargo Hub and ensure the accuracy and relevance of the course content.
Prepare policies, procedures and guidelines on the protection of company resources, information and classified property.
Ensure systems are in place to prevent risk of theft, sabotage and criminal act against the business, or its staff/stakeholders including other airlines.
Provide guidance to the HR Team conducting internal investigations to ensure fair, factual and complete investigations are conducted including evidence gathering, interviews and final reporting.
Establish measures and procedures for the control of access to the organizations premises in order to prevent unauthorized access to its facilities, equipment or proprietary information.
Ensure that staff with access comply with mandated background checks and QCAA/HIA security directives.
Cultivate relationships with all stakeholders including customer airlines and Government Agencies and foster an environment of trust and cooperation for all Security related issues.
Analyze security trends and ensure that training/support is provided to meet the needs of all areas of the Cargo operations.
Represent QAS Cargo at all internal and external security meetings as directed by Management.
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Management & Leadership:
Establish the department or team objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
Regularly evaluate the department or team objectives, plans procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.
