Job Description

Plan, Supervise and monitor day to day operational, flight planning and optimization, service compliance objectives and targets for Cargo, Courier and Mail, in the assigned sections of Hub Operations, Cargo Terminals and Ramp. Accountable for the planning manpower of the section, supervision of staff, work assignment and distribution, tracking the work progress until completion within specified time norms, handing over incomplete work of 24x7 shifts, in order to achieve highest possible level of service compliance, maximum space utilization and on time performance of flights, conforming to handling ,operational, safety and security standards.

Job Outline:

- Ensure with the help of a team of Cargo Handling Assistants & Senior Cargo Handling Assistants
productivity targets in different sections such as Build up, Break down, Planning, Ramp, Perishable, Quality & Tracing, Courier, Mail and Cargo Hub Control Centre are achieved.

- Create load plans for all flights based on trim and balance or aircraft for maximum utilisation of space within specified time norms without compromising on operational safety standards.

- Give direction to Shift Duty staff for any problems anticipated or faced in order to ensure load plan executed most efficiently.

- Issue claim tracers, conduct surveys and compile discrepancy reports for all claims to minimise Company\'s liabilities.

- Plan and communicate requirements to build-up teams for Loading of Cargo products for carriage on
assigned aircraft in accordance with priorities and volume/payload available, optimum utilisation of capacity and revenue generation.

- Supervise acceptance, handling and delivery of import, export and transfer cargo and documents to ensure adherence policies and procedures and facilitate optimum operating efficiency, service and product quality standards. Ensure optimum and effective use of resources keep check on OT levels of FTE staff. Ensure at all times, that the handling of time and temperature and pharmaceutical shipments demonstrates compliance to the European Union Good Distribution Practice (EU GDP) requirements.

- Supervise inbound and outbound cargo, mail, courier, special loads movement co-ordinate requirements with designated responsible representatives of Ground Handling Agent for Ramp Services.

- Ensure and maintain accuracy of information on cargo products in Skychain to facilitate wide service
delivery and planning requirements.

- Collate and process data from various sources into appropriate database. Design, develop prepare
comprehensive range of MIS reports based on the collated data so as to provide information. Ensure all pre-flight and post-flight documentations are raised properly and correctly.

- Ensure correct procedures and equipment deployed for acceptance, storage, handling and loading of dangerous goods and special loads for safety of aircraft, personnel and passenger.
GDP Specific:

Cargo Customs & Security Authorisations Supervisors:
- Ensure all required shipment data provided to the relevant authorities prior to loading the shipment on the aircraft from its origin station. Ensure goods bound to/via PLACI countries are only permitted to be carried upon receipt of an approval from the relevant authority.
- Timely intervene, review and evaluate all master and house airwaybills additional data requested such as RFI (request for information) and RFS (request for screening) and source the information from the system, documents, origin station or shipper/agent and furnish to the authorities as and when required. Such shipments must be temporally kept on hold until a positive feedback is received from the authorities.
- All DO NOT LOAD requests are immediately acted upon and ensure such shipments are removed from the flight and safely secured in coordination with the stations and reported to the relevant authorities.
- Monitor the compliance dash board and take timely action on pending cases to ensure appropriate clearance received or missing details intercepted and corrected to avoid last minute operational impacts, shipment offload, ULD with multiple shipments offload or flight details.
- Monitor Emirates SkyCargo internal trade compliance system and take timely action to stop or approve the hits on Regulatory Sanctions, Dual Use Goods, denied party screening, embargoed shipments etc.
- Timely action all communication related to day to day functioning of PLACI and trade compliance related queries to ensure stations and customers are not impacted with execute their shipments.

Logistics/Cargo Air Cargo : 3+ Years

10 Years schooling or equivalent :

Experience in Logistics/Cargo Air Cargo

Knowledge/skills:
Experience in Air Cargo
In depth knowledge of Cargo Operations Procedures, Cargo Acceptance Procedures, Dangerous Goods, Live Animals, ULDs and stock control procedure (Cat-8).
Ability to demonstrable high level of knowledge and competence in Good Distribution Practice (GDP) acquired through experience and training.
Ability to collate and analyse various relevant tonnage, revenues and yield and market information data from different sources.
Ability to work independently based on guidelines provided and guides the Senior Cargo Handling Assistant as applicable.
Good knowledge in the application of Air Cargo rating rules and regulates Cargo load and planning.
UAE Driving license (preferable)
