To provide high-quality, compassionate, person-centred care and support to individuals in residential, nursing, or home-care settings, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing while working under the guidance of a registered nurse or senior care staff.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care.
Support mobility and safe moving/handling using approved equipment.
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring food/fluid intake.
Observe and report changes in clients' health or behaviour to the supervising nurse.
Record vital signs (T, P, R, BP) under supervision.
Provide companionship, emotional support, and social engagement.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential care records.
Support household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment.
Follow care plans, safeguarding procedures, and infection control standards.
Uphold professionalism, respect, dignity, and person-centred care principles at all times.
Qualifications:
Care Certificate or willingness to complete upon hire.
Previous caregiving or healthcare experience (preferred but not required).
Training in manual handling and basic life support.
