Caregiver

Job summary:

A Caregiver provides compassionate, professional assistance to clients in their homes, focusing on personal care, emotional support, and maintaining a safe environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with personal care activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.

2. Administer medications and follow healthcare instructions.

3. Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate).

4. Support mobility, transfers, and positioning of patients.

5. Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines; assist with feeding if needed.

6. Perform light housekeeping: laundry, changing linens, and cleaning.

7. Offer companionship and engage in meaningful activities.

8. Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to meet patient needs.

9. Respond promptly to emergencies and provide basic first aid.

10. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report concerns.

Qualifications (Educations and Experiences):

1. Experience in home care or related nursing fields.

2. Strong communication and empathy skills.

3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

4. Basic knowledge of nursing principles and patient care practices.

5. Flexibility to work varied shifts based on patient needs

6. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.

7. Ability to follow instructions and handle physical tasks.

8. CPR and first aid certification may be required.
