Job Description
Job Scope:
The Cardiac Sonographer performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with cardiologists, physicians and other healthcare professionals.

The Cardiac Sonographer performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with cardiologists, physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Meet quality and quantitative standards for scan.
- Experience entering relevant data into the diagnostic imaging information system and preparing accurate reports for physician interpretation.
- Notify cardiologist of significant scan deviations that may necessitate immediate attention to the patient.
- Proficient with patient electronic record & PACS.
- Recording sonographs, recording and depositing the scans to HHC storage.
- Analyze and report service delivery issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment.
- Able to operate equipment safely at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Keep track of consumables and ensure that there is enough supply.
- Attend training sessions as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonography / Adult Echocardiography.
- Current registration and education requirements the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred.
