The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces, mixing and matching paint colors, and applying paint finishes to restore vehicles to their original or desired appearance. This role requires a keen eye for detail, precision, and adherence to safety standards.
Surface Preparation:
Clean, sand, and mask vehicle surfaces thoroughly before painting.
Bodywork Finishing:
Apply body filler, primer, and other preparatory coatings as needed.
Paint Mixing & Matching:
Accurately mix paint to match existing vehicle colors or specific customer requirements, ensuring a seamless finish.
Paint Application:
Apply multiple coats of paint, clear coat, and other finishes using spray guns and other painting equipment.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished surfaces for defects such as runs, sags, and unpainted areas, and perform necessary touch-ups or re-applications.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain and clean painting equipment, spray booths, and tools regularly.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling of hazardous materials.
Waste Management:
Dispose of paint and hazardous waste materials according to environmental regulations.
Collaboration:
Work effectively with other technicians and team members to ensure timely completion of jobs.
