Job Title: General Mechanic for German and European Cars

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled General Mechanic specializing in German and European cars to join our team. As a General Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles primarily from German and European manufacturers. Your expertise will ensure that our customers receive high-quality service and that vehicles leave our shop in optimal condition.

Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostics to identify issues with German and European car systems and components. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks. Execute complex repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical components. Use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively to pinpoint and resolve mechanical and electronic issues. Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. Provide accurate estimates for repair costs and time required for services. Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to facilitate efficiency and safety. Stay updated on new technologies and techniques relevant to German and European car maintenance. Collaborate with other team members to deliver excellent customer service and uphold our reputation for quality workmanship.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a mechanic specializing in German and European cars. Certification from a vocational school or relevant certification (e.g., ASE) preferred. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong understanding of automotive systems and components specific to German and European cars. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Physical stamina and dexterity to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a dealership or specialized repair shop for German and European cars. Advanced certifications or training in specific brands (e.g., BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi). Familiarity with software and systems used for diagnostics and repair.
