Job Description

The Camp Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the safari camp, ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience while maintaining high standards of safety, hospitality, and environmental sustainability. This role involves managing staff, coordinating activities, and ensuring that all aspects of camp operations run smoothly.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise and train camp staff, including guides, drivers, hospitality personnel, and maintenance teams. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. Ensure exceptional guest experiences by managing front-of-house operations and addressing guest inquiries or concerns. Coordinate and oversee safari activities, including game drives, guided walks, and other guest experiences. Monitor daily camp operations, including housekeeping, maintenance, and dining services, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards. Manage inventory and procurement of supplies, ensuring the camp is well-stocked and maintained. Assist in budgeting and financial management, including tracking expenses and optimizing operational costs. Help with preparing reports on camp performance and guest feedback. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental policies. Conduct regular safety drills and training for staff to handle emergencies. Foster positive relationships with local communities and engage in sustainable tourism practices. Promote cultural and environmental awareness among guests.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, tourism, or a related field. Previous experience in camp management, safari operations, or a similar role. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages a plus). Knowledge of wildlife and conservation practices is preferred. Ability to work in remote environments and adapt to changing situations. Must be willing to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays. Ability to live on-site in a camp environment.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
