Job Description

The Camp Boss is responsible for the overall management, operation, and maintenance of labor accommodation camps, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws, health & safety standards, and company policies. The role supports smooth camp operations for large-scale contracting projects by maintaining high standards of hygiene, discipline, welfare, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Camp Operations & Administration

Manage day-to-day camp operations including accommodation, utilities, housekeeping, and catering services Maintain accurate records of camp occupancy, staff movements, and asset inventory Coordinate with HR and site management for manpower allocation and camp requirements

Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with UAE labor accommodation regulations, municipality guidelines, and HSE standards Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness, safety, and fire protection systems Coordinate with HSE officers during audits and inspections by authorities

Staff & Vendor Management

Supervise camp staff including cooks, cleaners, security, and maintenance personnel Coordinate with subcontractors and service providers (catering, waste disposal, pest control, laundry, etc.) Monitor service quality and resolve issues promptly

Maintenance & Facilities

Ensure timely maintenance of rooms, plumbing, electrical systems, AC units, and common areas Report and follow up on major repairs with project/site engineers Monitor water supply, generators, sewage systems, and waste management

Discipline & Welfare

Maintain discipline and order within the camp Address worker grievances related to accommodation and welfare Support employee wellbeing and ensure a respectful living environment

Cost Control & Reporting

Monitor camp-related expenses and control operational costs Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for management Assist in budgeting and resource planning for camp operations

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum

5-8 years' experience

as Camp Boss or Camp Supervisor in the

UAE contracting/construction sector

Strong knowledge of

UAE labor laws and camp accommodation regulations

Experience managing

large labor camps (300+ manpower)

Basic knowledge of HSE standards and fire safety Good communication skills in

English

(Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage) Ability to manage multicultural workforce Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, email)
