Job Description

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage all aspects of workers' accommodation (labor camp), ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, discipline, and comfort. The Camp Boss will ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations while maintaining a healthy and efficient living environment for all occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day operations of the camp, including housekeeping, maintenance, catering, security, and waste management. Ensure all camp facilities are clean, functional, and well-maintained. Maintain records of camp occupancy, movements, and maintenance needs. Allocate rooms as per company policy and ensure efficient use of accommodation space. Handle grievances and requests from camp residents related to housing, food, or utilities. Monitor the performance of support staff such as cleaners, maintenance workers, and catering teams. Ensure health, hygiene, and safety standards are strictly followed. Liaise with Admin/HR departments regarding manpower movement, disciplinary issues, or special requirements. Oversee transportation arrangements and coordinate vehicle schedules if required. Conduct regular inspections of rooms, kitchens, toilets, and other facilities. Maintain stock and request supplies for consumables and maintenance items as needed. Prepare periodic reports on camp operations, occupancy, and maintenance issues. Coordinate emergency response and evacuation protocols when necessary. Ensure compliance with local municipality or labor camp regulations and safety standards.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Camp Boss or in a similar facility management role (preferably in construction or contracting industry). Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, and food handling regulations. Ability to handle multicultural labor force and resolve issues diplomatically. Basic computer skills for report writing and record keeping. Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi, Urdu, or Arabic is a plus).
