The ideal candidate will be responsible for calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining instruments used in industrial, manufacturing, or laboratory environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform calibration of instruments and equipment according to manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and company procedures.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain measurement devices, including pressure, temperature, flow, electrical, and analytical instruments.
Maintain detailed records of calibration activities, adjustments, and test results.
Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, NIST, and other applicable calibration standards.
Conduct preventive maintenance on measurement instruments to prevent downtime.
Work with engineering and quality teams to ensure proper calibration of instruments in production or laboratory settings.
Use calibration software and tools to document and track instrument status.
Follow HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) guidelines and ensure a safe working environment.
Support internal and external audits by providing calibration certificates and records.
Assist in developing and improving calibration procedures and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
experience in calibration, instrumentation, or metrology.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of calibration standards (ISO 17025).
Experience with precision measurement tools (calibrators, oscilloscopes, multimeters, micrometers, etc.).
Familiarity with industry equipment such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters, and analyzers.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
May require working in industrial environments, labs, or field locations.
Ability to lift, move, and position calibration equipment as needed.
Travel may be required for on-site calibration services.
