Job Description

The Role

Perform structural analysis of steel structures; \xe2\x80\xa2 Detailed design of steel connections (welded/bolted) by analytical methods / hand calculations; \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform lifting analysis of skids, modules and equipment; \xe2\x80\xa2 Write technical reports and calculation notes in technical English as per the requirements of Classification Societies Rules and Regulations; \xe2\x80\xa2 Review, check, and verify structural drawings, and supporting documentation rated to the project in accordance with Client requirements; \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist the project engineers during the preliminary studies, procurement, and installation phases;

Requirements

Minimum 3 \xe2\x80\x93 9 years of relevant experience in structural design for Offshore O&G Structures; \xe2\x80\xa2 Active user of STAAD PRO \xe2\x80\x93 Mandatory; \xe2\x80\xa2 Well-versed in the detailed design of steel connections with Mathcad / Excel \xe2\x80\x93 Mandatory \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software such as ANSYS/FEMAP \xe2\x80\xa2 Understanding of industry-related standards (e.g. AISC, API, ASME) and Class Rules (e.g. ABS, DNV, Norsok) \xe2\x80\xa2 Technical knowledge of steel fabrication and steel material selection as per relevant Codes; \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with High-Pressure Piping (HP) Design (5k/10k/15k psi) \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of Caesar 2 piping software \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of any programming language/macros \xe2\x80\xa2 Previous exposure to Mobile Offshore Units upgrade projects \xe2\x80\xa2 Understanding of ship-building drawings \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of plant/process design for drilling facilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in the design of equipment, in particular, drilling equipment
