JOB DESCRIPTION Designation: Cafeteria Cashier Section/Department: Catering / Hospitality Reporting to: Catering Supervisor Responsible for/Reporting Staff: Purpose and Scope of the Job: Under direct supervision, receives and records cash and charges payments. May process financial aid disbursements. Balances cash receipts against register tape on a daily basis. Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards:
Qualifications, Competencies and Skills: Education: High School Experience: 1-2years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Licensure: Not Applicable Language: High proficiency in Arabic and English Languages. Computer Proficiency: Good computer skills Performance Competencies:
Principle Working Relationships and Remarks:
- Receives cash payments; verifies and posts to appropriate accounts and issues receipts.
- Prepares daily cash reports and balance the cash drawer; reconciles cash, investigates and resolves any out-of-balance problems.
- Charges cafeteria visitors for food services provided.
- Projects currency and coin requirements as necessary.
- Maintains all records for daily inventory for all sales items.
- Monitors and records all the food issues and wastages by each meal periods.
- Cross checks daily store requisitions & issuing.
- Ensures safety standards (occupational and patient safety) are complied.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Direct Reporting Authority.
- Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed.
- Provides or promotes people centered care.
- Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs.
