The Role

Role Description :

Client Interaction & Project Collaboration: o Confidently communicate and present 2D and 3D drawings to clients, explaining engineering decisions, addressing concerns, and accommodating design changes as needed. o Collaborate with internal teams (sales, procurement, engineering, and admin) and external stakeholders to establish project timelines, budgets, and problem-solve technical challenges. o Participate in contract, agreement, drawing, and BOQ reviews to ensure the accuracy of client quotations. Design & Drafting: o Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD designs using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SketchUp for a range of construction and industrial projects. o Generate solid and surface CAD models and produce BIM-compatible 3D files where required. o Present rough design concepts and finalized drafts for internal review and client approval. o Develop product designs from scratch and ensure compliance with safety, structural, and industry standards. o Blend technical accuracy with aesthetics to deliver high-quality final designs. Documentation & Standards: o Prepare technical documents, including material lists and cost estimates. o Maintain and update a library of standard drawing templates and ensure all drawings adhere to industry and engineering standards. o Revise and update existing drawings based on new information, project changes, or client feedback. o Stay current on industry developments, software advancements, and applicable engineering standards. General Support: o Assist in quantity surveying (BOQ) and other project-related activities as required to support the accurate development of proposals and project execution. o Participate actively in cross-department teamwork to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.



Requirements

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable in a client-facing role. o Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, and BIM modeling. o Solid understanding of engineering principles, material specifications, and construction techniques. o Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative, practical solutions. o Ability to analyze technical data and present findings clearly. o Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality. o Knowledge of cost estimation and technical documentation is an advantage. o Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in drafting, design, or engineering support
