Job duties and responsibilities
- Capable of installing and maintain underground electrical cables by pulling cables through underground conduits, trenches or pipes and joining them in transmission and distribution systems.
- Capable of carrying out electrical underground works which range from the connection of new supplies, diversion, and alterations to locating and repairing faults.
- Capable of cable jointing work in connection with the construction, reinforcement, alteration, replacement, and repair of electricity distribution network assets.
- Capable of conducting tests to check cable integrity and locate faults. If problems are found undertake maintenance work and repair the cables.
- Updating and maintaining location guides for a diagram for the layout of cable systems.
- Capable of testing insulation, voltage, phasing, phase rotation and continuity on cables and carrying out network switching operations on HV systems.
- Capable of carrying out risk assessments and maintain safe working practices.
- 2 \xe2\x80\x93 2 \xc2\xbd years of proven experience working as a High Voltage Cable Jointer in any GCC country.
- Preferably candidates with an Aramco approval.
- Strong knowledge/experience with jointing cables and familiar with HV equipment.
- Do you have experience working as a cable jointer within the Oil and Gas Industry in any GCC countries ?
