The role holder will identify opportunities to surpass targeted growth in sales and margin by identifying products that add sense of place and value to the customers experience in the location, sourcing new and review existing. This is an important role in ensuring that retail standards and execution of category buying strategy is implemented to the highest level in stores. This person will be a key contact with the location\xe2\x80\x99s management team in collaborating to deliver company strategy, profitability, sales targets and customer satisfaction and optimising local business unit performance. Reporting to the Global Buying Manager, this role will work closely with the Operations team, collaborating with colleagues to optimise local business unit performance. The successful candidate may support the Global Buying Manager by efficiently selecting and purchasing optimum quantities of goods and merchandise for their categories. This person will be the local primary day to day contact for buying category related queries from local management.
- 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a buyer in a fast-paced retail environment is required.
- Experience in a busy, deadline-driven environment
- Proven experience in Retail Purchasing and/or Merchandising management.
- Proven experience in brand relationship management.
- Proven experience building profitable business in Knowledge of Open-to-Buy process.
- Strong understanding of merchandising financials, retail math and the ability to manage profitability
- Ability to analyse reports and draw conclusions/recommendations
- Strong product sensibility and understanding of category brands.
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal, written and presentation skills.
