Role Summary

In this role, the Buyer is responsible for purchasing components, materials, equipments and services for the company. His/her main duties include negotiating deals with suppliers to achieve the performance requested in terms of cost, quality, delivery time and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase materials, supplies, and services by developing, soliciting, and analyzing supplier quotations. Analyze market trends and negotiate contracts Coordinate activities with suppliers and other departments to assure proper delivery, quality, reliability, and low cost consistency Build and maintain a good relationship with suppliers and other relevant departments Conduct research for new opportunities and suppliers to improve the performance Assess and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance Work closely with the global team and engineering to recommend new product developments Monitor issues that impact the price, quality, delivery or invoice issues Manage and present the performance Monthly reporting (KPIs) Communicate the necessary information to management to assist in decision making and strategy formulation Guarantee the compliance with Magna guidelines and procedures

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering 3 to 5 Year experience (In Automotive Industry is a big plus) Good level in English both written and verbal Able to be team oriented with ability to be assertive Ability to establish goals, priorities, and management time effectively.
