Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer/Purchase Coordinator with a strong background in sourcing and procurement of fresh fruits and vegetables. The ideal candidate will manage supplier relationships, ensure timely delivery, monitor quality standards, and help maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from local and international suppliers.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and compliance with food safety standards.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors to secure cost-effective deals and favorable terms.
• Monitor market trends, seasonal availability, and commodity prices to optimize purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of perishable goods.
• Work closely with the quality control team to ensure product standards and specifications are met.
• Maintain and update procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier databases.
• Track inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts and ensure freshness of products.
• Coordinate with sales and planning teams to align purchasing with demand forecasts.
• Prepare regular procurement reports and analysis to support decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in fresh produce or perishables.
• Experience working with import/export regulations
