Position Summary



The

Buyer - Coffee Machines

is a specialist role dedicated exclusively to the procurement of coffee machines. This is a

mandatory category responsibility

, meaning the role's primary and non-negotiable focus is sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing coffee machines for the company's operations. The Buyer will ensure the selection of the highest-quality products that align with brand standards, customer needs, and market trends.

Key Responsibilities



1. Mandatory Coffee Machine Procurement



Solely responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing all

coffee machines

for the company (domestic, commercial, and specialty). Ensure coffee machine purchases meet performance, durability, and brand positioning standards. Maintain deep technical and market knowledge specific to coffee machine technology, features, and innovations.

2. Supplier & Market Management



Identify and establish strong relationships with approved

coffee machine

suppliers and manufacturers. Attend coffee industry expos, trade shows, and supplier demonstrations to keep up with innovations. Continuously evaluate suppliers for quality, service, and compliance with company standards.

3. Negotiation & Cost Control



Negotiate prices, payment terms, warranties, and after-sales service packages specifically for coffee machines. Secure competitive pricing without compromising product quality or brand reputation.

4. Quality & Compliance



Approve product samples after thorough performance and compliance testing. Ensure all coffee machines meet safety, quality, and regional compliance certifications.

5. Collaboration



Work closely with marketing to align machine availability with promotional campaigns. Partner with technical teams to ensure machine compatibility with consumables and accessories.

Qualifications & Skills



Education:



Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field.

Experience:



3-5 years of purchasing experience

exclusively

in

coffee machines

or similar beverage equipment. Proven track record in supplier management and category ownership.

Skills & Competencies:



Advanced knowledge of coffee machine technology, brands, and brewing systems. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills. Ability to forecast demand and manage inventory specific to high-value technical equipment. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
