Role purpose
The Buyer manages the full procure-to-pay cycle for goods and services supporting marine vessels and projects. The role partners with end users, Logistics/MO, Finance, and Legal to deliver on cost, quality, and schedule while ensuring compliance with DOA, T&Cs, and company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Convert PRs to competitive RFQs, analyze quotations, and recommend awards.
- Negotiate pricing, discounts (target ?5%), delivery, warranty, and payment terms.
- Create/maintain POs in Oracle Fusion; ensure first-time-right data and coding.
- Coordinate with MO/Warehouse on GRV and expediting to meet required dates.
- Support framework/blanket agreements and preferred-supplier lists.
- Track supplier performance (OTIF, quality) and resolve discrepancies with AP/GR.
- Ensure compliance with Incoterms, HSE/QA requirements, and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and audit-ready documentation.
