Cut, debone, and trim different types of meat using knives and cutting equipment.
Prepare meat portions based on customer requests (mincing, slicing, cubing, etc.).
Ensure meat displays are attractive, fresh, and properly labeled.
Monitor stock levels and assist with daily inventory management.
Follow proper storage, handling, and hygiene procedures (chilling, freezing, FIFO).
Maintain cleanliness of butchery tools, cutting boards, counters, and cold storage.
Comply with food safety standards and health regulations at all times.
Reduce wastage through proper trimming, portioning, and storage.
Assist customers politely and handle special cutting or preparation requests.
Report any quality or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a butcher or meat cutter (preferably in supermarket or retail).
Good knowledge of different types and cuts of meat.
Skilled in using knives, saws, and other butchery equipment.
Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
Physically fit and able to work in cold environments.
Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
