Drawing Board Kitchen is seeking a skilled and dedicated
Butcher
to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of meat preparation, cutting techniques, and food safety standards. As a Butcher, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality meat products are prepared and ready for service, working closely with chefs and other kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities
Break down, trim, and prepare various cuts of meat according to kitchen needs.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of all meat products.
Monitor inventory and inform the head chef of supply needs.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the butchery area.
Follow food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to meet production and service demands.
Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries of meat and other kitchen supplies.
Contribute to maintaining portion control and minimizing food waste.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Butcher or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of various meat cuts and butchery techniques.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
Willingness to learn and grow within a professional kitchen team.
