Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
  • Test processes and controls to ensure accountability for adherence to CB Credit policy, regulatory and compliance framework.
  • Ensure a consistent approach is used across all retail products.
  • To provide assurance on all underwritten cases as per CB Credit Policy
  • Build adequate controls and MIS capability to provide CB country and group management adequate information for management oversight of progress on the strategic agenda, risks and controls, facilitating decision making to harness market opportunities.
  • Managing processes to control back end operations in accordance with the given Credit policies
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Effectively manage a unit that will focus on back end controls to ensure quality of applications is as per banks credit policy
  • To Test, review and report error rates on applications sourced is within agreed benchmarks
  • Maintain MIS , Reports on application quality
  • Executing/coordinating timely training program
  • Escalating any issues pertaining to application quality
  • Operational Risk Management Assurance & Compliance:
  • Implement controls within the Business Unit to meet regulatory and internal requirements. In addition, drive and implement an effective risk management framework, and promote a strong risk Management and a compliance culture.
  • To ensure there is adequate training in Compliance. In addition, document and implement controls to ensure compliance with regulations and Group Standards.
  • Ensure that policies are implemented effectively within Business; new regulations are properly communicated and provide quality assurance on the design of the control measures and monitoring plans.
  • Ensure adherence to the risk management framework.
  • Ensure full awareness of all policies and procedures issued in relation to money laundering prevention and KYC
  • Ensure compliance with the above policies on an ongoing basis and reported any suspicious
  • transaction Immediately to the supervising officer.
  • Read, understand and comply with all provisions of the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Ensure complete adherence to Principles & Policy of Treating Customers Fairly.

Risk Management
  • The role holder would be responsible for adequate documentation of all perceivable risks and their mitigants with respect to all retail products underwritten as per CB credit policy. These will include Reputational Risks, Compliance Risks and Business Risks. Ensure compliance with the ERMF Framework. These risks should be reported to the CPBB Management Team.
