Key Responsibilities:

Driving business growth across UAE and GCC region in Sustainability, Validation and Verification, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), and Environmental and Energy domains. Develop client relationships and identify new opportunities in carbon market, GHG project validation and verification, GHG inventory verification, sustainability assurance, and climate action services. Promote and sell solutions related to GHG Validation and Verification as per ISO 14064, Sustainability Assurance, ESG Due Diligence based on GRI, TCFD, CDP, IFS etc. or any sector specific framework, Voluntary Carbon Markets such as Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard (GS), Global Carbon Council (GCC) or various regional or international carbon registries. Collaborate with technical teams to prepare proposals, presentations, and project pitches aligned with client requirements. Understand sustainability reporting frameworks and standards and integrate them into business development strategy. Represent the company in client meetings, industry forums, exhibitions, and sustainability summits in the UAE and GCC. Stay updated with UAE's sustainability and Net Zero 2050 targets, government regulations, and compliance requirements (e.g., MOCCAE, ADNOC's ESG mandates). Work closely with the operations, audit, and environmental assessment teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements:

Bachelor's/master's degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields. Minimum

10-15 years

of proven business development experience in ESG, sustainability, or carbon market consulting-- + CDM, VCS (Verra), and GS (Gold Standard) project cycles
+ Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), ISO 14064, ISO 1400, ISO 14067
+ Sustainability assurance and compliance audits (e.g., SA8000, AA 1000, CDP, IFS, GRI)
Strong network with corporate sustainability heads, regulatory bodies, and key industry stakeholders in the Middle East. Excellent presentation, proposal writing, and communication skills. Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage. UAE driving license preferred.

Desirable:

MBA in Marketing or Sales Must have understanding on Sustainability / Validation & Verification Services / ESG / Carbon Markets / Carbon Finance / NetZero / GHG Projects / GHG Accounting / Life Cycle Assessment / Carbon Footprint related concepts Must have demonstrated experience in Business Development and Sales in relevant areas. Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and unlock cross-border opportunities in MENA and international carbon markets. Understanding of digital platforms for sustainability monitoring, data reporting, and MRV systems.
