Job Description

The job role includes the following activities: o Identifying opportunities in target markets for our organization\xe2\x80\x99s products and services. o Generating leads through cold calling prospective clients or networking at trade shows. o Keeping up with the latest industry developments, including market positioning of corporate competitors. o Assessing client needs and the company\xe2\x80\x99s ability to meet those needs. o Following up with new leads and referrals generated from the sales team. o Using customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Dynamics CRM, to manage interactions. o Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets. o Seek out the appropriate contact in an Organisation. o Meet with customers/clients over the phone or via other means. o Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients. o Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these. o Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business o Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes. o Have a good understanding of the businesses\' products or services and be able to advise others about them. o Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department. o Liaise with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate. o Seek ways of improving the way the business operates. o Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world. Essential o Demonstrates interpersonal skills required to successfully work in a team environment and communicates effectively across a variety of stakeholder groups. o Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Account Manager especially in B2B industry. o An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates. o Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills. o IT skills, including the use of MS office. o Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work. o Very strong decision-making skills and Negotiating skills. o Ability to multitask and prioritise your workload. o Ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals. o Ability to think strategically. o Ability to analyse sales figures and write reports. o A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. o Strong Initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch. Personal attributes o Highly organised individual with excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills to contribute to a busy Sales team. o Must be motivated, conscientious and able to see tasks and objectives through to completion. o Personable team player with \xe2\x80\x98can-do attitude\xe2\x80\x99 and ability to plan and work flexibly to tight deadlines. o Good customer facing, interpersonal and interview skills with good written and verbal communication.
