Position Summary: Our business is looking for a talented and qualified Business Development Manager to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for Operational Start up, Business Development, Sales & Customer Relationship researching shipping methods, assessing budgets, and organizing storage. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail in order to oversee daily operations team and logistics employees. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, you should also possess in-depth knowledge of logistics and inventory systems. Industry: Logistic Services and Supply chain

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services for all GCC region and Far East region.
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate movement of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Selecting carriers and negotiating contracts and rates.
  • Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments in a timely manner.
  • Supervise, coach, and train a Warehouse/Logistic workforce across all regions.
  • Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
  • Managing all warehouse operations and office administration.
  • Ensuring all operations adhere to UAE laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
  • Keeping a track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs to maintain highest level of efficiency.
  • Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
Business Development:
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to get the optimum output.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints by customers or the logistics team.
  • Researching ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
  • Evaluating budgets, target and expenditures.
  • Develop warehousing and value adding business for Logistics division
  • Develop 3PL Services including freight forwarding Border Mgmt. Transport into a sizable business
  • Create loyalty and optimize the existing portfolio
  • Acquire new customers through individual prospecting actions
  • Promote the new commercial offers
  • Answer to tenders in collaboration with the Direction and the purchasing service
  • Advise customers on the transport offers according to their needs and offer the most adapted solution
  • Transmit to the operational services the relevant business records specifying the arrangements with customers and specific operational procedure
  • Transmit to the financial services the information required by the account opening procedures
  • Estimate the risks/losses from litigation in conjunction with the Financial & Legal Services
  • Establish the annual budget exercise in consultation with their line manager
  • Support the implementation of network solutions that are necessary to gain new businesses with a competitive offer
  • Spread and update the product expertise in areas: market information database, procedures, transport plans, tariffs; provide active support in training sessions (sales & operations); maintain the product intranet site
  • Consolidate the sales reporting of all sector accounts through the CRM concerto tool
Required Skills/Knowledge
  • Good computer skills (particularly in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Excellent English communication skills (read, writing and speak.
  • Proficient Negotiation Skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Freight Products Rates.
Required Work Experience
  • 8 - 10 years' experience working in Logistics & Warehouse management in the freight-forwarding industry.
  • UAE Experience is a must
Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in business administration or Sales and Marketing. Required Languages English language skills (Oral & Written Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Ability to commute/relocate:
