Our client is a global freight forwarding organization and we are recruiting a UAE experienced hunter business development manager from the contract ocean and air freight forwarding, logistics and cargo industry to join their Dubai team.

The successful candidate will be accountable for exceeding sales targets to achieve sustainable sales and revenue growth for cargo container and shipping line services.

Role Summary
  • Achieve sales volume, revenue and profit through territory mapping, sales planning and reporting.
  • Plan and implement short- and long-term sales strategies for acquisition and retention in line with the company\xe2\x80\x99s profitable growth strategy.
  • Identify and building strong business relations with overseas partners and agents to global tradelines.
  • Prospect, target and close high value business opportunities.
  • Work with the strategy team on pricing to increase market share and profitability.
  • In partnership with the marketing function, establishes strategies to expand the company\xe2\x80\x99s customer base.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 consultative selling and business development experience in freight, transport and logistics in the United Arab Emirates / GCC.
  • Proven success record in customer acquisition, growing sales revenue and reviving dormant accounts in a fast paced and competitive environment through account penetration and conversion, sales growth strategies and competitor and market analysis.
  • Mid-level strategic planning experience of selling on quality, relationship and reputation rather than price to lead large, complex new business and sales opportunities.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen for budgeting, sales forecasting, negotiating and closing contracts that generate revenue growth and profitability.
  • Capabilities to develop long term strategies to meet and exceed the company\xe2\x80\x99s revenue target.
  • Proven leadership capabilities in building, managing and developing successful sales teams.
  • UAE driving license in mandatory.
Candidate Profile
  • Currently living in the United Arab Emirates \xe2\x80\x93 must be able to live and work in Dubai.
  • Fluency in English \xe2\x80\x93 must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Strong managerial gravitas and ability to build relationships and teams.
  • Hunter mindset and farmer approach with a strong understanding of modern-day sales. methodologies, outstanding selling capabilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with the drive and ambition to achieve results.
Education
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree is mandatory
