Primary Accountabilities:

Examination of the Market:

To determine prospective company possibilities and industry trends, conduct in-depth market research.

Create plans to keep a competitive edge by analysing rival activity and market dynamics.

Client Relationship Management:

Establish trusting bonds with important customers, shipping providers, and other interested parties.

Work together with clients to comprehend their requirements and offer tailored solutions.

Business Strategy:

Create and put into action winning business plans to accomplish growth and income goals. Determine new business ventures, offerings, or products that complement the objectives of the organization.

Sales & Revenue Generation:

Oversee the lead generation, close, and sales process, making sure that sales goals are met.

To increase profitability, negotiate with clients over terms, prices, and contracts in an efficient manner.

Alliances & Partnerships:

Determine important players and organizations in the shipping sector and form strategic alliances and relationships with them for mutual growth.

Compliance to Regulatory Framework:

Ensure company's compliance with local and international shipping standards by being updated on regulatory changes.

Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders:

Maintain close collaboration with cross-functional teams in operations, marketing, and finance to guarantee smooth client satisfaction and service delivery.

Analysis and Reporting:

Create frequent reports on market trends, sales figures, and business growth initiatives.

Do data crunching to extract insights and make informed business decisions.

Networking:

To promote the company and develop a strong professional network, take advantage of industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in business development within the shipping or maritime industry with at least 3 years in the UAE. An excellent network of direct importers/exporters. In-depth knowledge of shipping operations, regulations, and market dynamics. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Familiarity with doing business in Dubai and the broader Middle East region.

Salary: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
