Emirates Electrical Engineering is a specialized business platform that provides comprehensive turnkey solutions combining development, financing, construction and operation of solar rooftops for commercial and industrial building in the UAE, also a responsive and flexible organization dedicated for the design and construction of turnkey electrical power projects such as High Voltage Substations, Cable Networks and Transmission Lines.

Job Purpose

Responsible of execution of annual business plans & targets in the Energy Sector through leading the Business Development, Sales and Marketing teams and activities. Primarily responsible for securing new projects for Energy Management within selected business territories.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and mentor a business-oriented BD & Sales team
  • Define and implement a winning sales strategy for the region over 2-5 years within the Energy sector
  • Conduct market mapping and scanning activities to generate new business development opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Identify, advise and establish strategic partnerships across the region to support the business line in its sustainable growth strategy
  • Bring application insight and finds ways to further improve or refine company\xe2\x80\x99s competitive advantage or our internal BD processes in order to be more successful
  • Ownership of End-to-End processes of Lead-to-Contract and provide further feedback, enhancement and efficiency consistently
  • Coach, recognize and develop talent in line with the company talent development strategies
  • Propose and agree upon the most feasible business plan for the year (before start of each calendar year)
  • Achieve team\xe2\x80\x99s and individual targets as stipulated in the business plan
  • Propose yearly project pipeline and forecasts before start of each calendar year
  • Demonstrate the added value of the company to potential and existing clients compared to market rivals and competition
  • Continually personally and through team leverages networking, social media, industry events and cold outreach to uncover opportunities and turn them into long-term partnerships
  • Establish key relationships with industry, thought leaders and entrepreneurs; create strategic awareness and branding in the market
  • Stay abreast with product enhancements/releases, as well as significant industry trends within key vertical markets
  • Full awareness of market competition and enhance company\xe2\x80\x99s competitive advantage of all time
  • Form and build strategic relationships and partnering opportunities with key contractors and clients across the retail, commercial and industrial sectors
  • Ensure business cases for new business streams and route to market opportunities are consistent, accurate and decisions on investment are made on the best information via a coordinated set of metrics, assumptions and outputs
  • Identify and develop sales campaigns to drive lead generations
  • Responsible for addressing & resolving all customers\xe2\x80\x99 complaints and problems through Lead-to-Contract End-to-End process
  • Liaise with customers as required for the contractual closures of the awarded contracts including overseeing extension of time claims and follow up with them for the submitted bids in some cases.

Job Requirements

Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical, Mechanical or Energy) from a reputed institution
  • A post-graduation or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Management or Business (e.g. MBA) or Energy related domain/s is desirable
  • Certification related to Solar or Energy Management (from a recognized Govt. or private certifying body/s) would be a plus

Work Experience
  • Must have minimum of 12-15 years of total country-specific work experience, of which, more than 8-10 years in to Solar Energy and/or Energy Management contracting / EPC in a similar role in the region
  • Must have 5-7 years of team leadership and managerial experience
  • Proven experience and track record in business development in the field of solar performance contracting in the region with at least 50MW-100MW (or more) contractual experience
  • Complete familiarity with utilities requirements
  • Power Purchase Agreements execution experience (structure, terms etc.)
  • Experience in the management or oversight of Energy Efficiency and/or renewable energy operations


Knowledge and Skills
  • Basic understanding of the status and requirements of the region & country specific Renewable Energy Programs, identify funding opportunities, and environmental incentives/credits associated with renewable energy
  • Develop and manage tools to build sufficient business plans and Go-to-Market presentations
  • Technical knowledge of Solar systems and Energy Management
  • Knowledge in other Renewable Energy sectors and Battery Storage Systems desirable
  • Experience with contract management, renewable energy tracking systems and settlements
  • High level executive reporting skills
  • Excellent Leadership skills

  • Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with all stakeholders

  • Good presentation and persuasion skill
