E-commerce is one of the most strategic products for Maersk to fulfil the ambitions of providing “Factory to Couch” solutions to our customers. Through organic and inorganic growth, Maersk aims to offer truly integrated solutions which are mode agnostic. Through the recent acquisitions of Visible SCM, B2C Europe and Huub, Maersk has made significant strides in E-commerce to further its ambition of providing global E-commerce solutions to customers worldwide. Technology combined with fulfilments assets will provide a seamless solutions to customers. This main focus on this position is to develop E-commerce fulfilment solutions for customers based in UAE serving their end customers through online mediums. This person will also need to pursue customers who wish to deploy omni channel fulfilment through Maersk managed distribution centers in UAE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating a business plan to develop E-commerce in UAE
  • Continuously review the market for new business opportunities and activities and generate profitable business prepositions
  • Pro-actively meet (potential) customers in order to obtain/maintain business
  • Build and foster strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders within the customer’s organization
  • Ensure that we are understanding the end to end Supply chain requirements of the customers.
  • Develop value propositions which address the pain points across the entire supply chain.
  • Engage in consultative selling across all levels of the customers organization including the C-Suite
  • Develop Account plans outlining the growth opportunities and strategic engagement with these customers with specific initiatives.
  • Ensure that opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling are identified based on a deep understanding of the customer’s business model and pain points.
  • Position Maersk as their advisor of choice
  • Deepen and widen the relationships between Maersk and the customer through active stakeholder management across all relevant geographies and business divisions
  • Create and maintain visibility of sales pipeline and activity / results reporting
  • Support operational implementation and handover to operations once the business has been landed
  • Ensure contracts and agreements for specific customer solutions are validated and signed off (service agreements, credit agreements, supplier contracts, etc.) as per corporate guidelines
  • Sharing of best practices within the team / locations
Who we are looking for
  • 10+ years in logistics and supply chain
  • 5+ years in Postal or E-commerce logistics
  • Track record for successful performance.
  • Solution sales orientation
Technical and Personal Skills:
  • Sound understanding of the warehousing and E-commerce fulfilment operations
  • A Strong understanding of OMS/WMS and E-com information flow is a must.
  • Ability to engage in consultative selling with customers
  • Ability to articulate value creation by providing integrated solutions combining the Maersk products and services
  • Experience within the Retail, Lifestyle and Consumer Electronics is an added advantage.
  • A strong continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Self motivated, independent starter who is also a good team player
  • Strong analytical skills
