Job Description

POSITION DESCRITION Responsible for profit generation of excess program maintenance facility capacity through commercial sector use. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify shops, laboratories, and services within the program that can allocate excess resources for exploitation in the commercial market.
  • Improve utilization of assets and resources by in-depth analysis of excess capacity.
  • Determine the levels and volumes of services and capabilities to bring to the market.
  • Use a fact based planning process to develop an excess capacity business plan that identifies areas within the General Maintenance Corps (GMC) for revenue generating opportunities.
  • Offset a portion of the program maintenance costs by systematically increasing revenues from commercial and third party opportunities (based on non-invasive excess capacity management and client approval).
  • Design capacity guidelines ensuring prime contract production rates continue to meet vehicle readiness levels required by the client.
  • Access the local market for revenue generating activities in concert with program capabilities and capacity guidelines.
  • Analyze the market for functional service needs within program service areas.
  • Develop a business model meeting all client requirements and functions as a market driven revenue producing and revenue sharing profit model.
  • Determine an effective and competitive market rate for each service and/or function.
  • Determine profit models for each service/functional area.
  • Design a comprehensive business plan that is both executable and accountable with goals and objectives for each service/functional area.
  • Determine production levels required to meet goals and objectives.
  • Provide marketing and administrative guidelines and policies to meet planned sales levels.
  • Design interim benchmarks to assure the plan is on schedule and within volume guidelines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.S. degree or equivalent in a business related or technical field.
  • 10-12 years' experience in the commercial sector, involved with business trends, models, and development.
  • Working knowledge of business models and contracts involving government and private industry organizations is desired.
  • Experience in the Middle East is desired.
