ROLE SUMMARY
The Business Analyst is an active member of the Commercial Operations, actively engaging with commercial teams across MEA.
Responsible for quality and accuracy of the sales dashboards, continuously improve by innovating towards the business needs & additional features, liaising with the respective vendors for the implementation of these. Focus on Data Governance and enforcing the key pillars of data quality, security, and accessibility for AstraZeneca's Data ensuring AZ's policies, best practices, and any ethical considerations are all factored. The Business Analyst will support the commercial operations team in finding relationships and analysing trends external data points (e.g. competitor and macro-economic data)
Included in the role is active work with Practical Problem Solving, critical thinking and Continuous Improvements in cross-functional teams, both as team member. The work is executed in a high-paced environment, with strong focus on cross-functional collaboration with other roles.
What you'll do

• Generate and synthesize insights by overseeing multiple reports on market dynamics, healthcare, and the pharma industry across MEA, ensuring data is actionable and relevant to the organization's strategic goals.
• Develop, track, and share KPIs and best practices across functions to enhance overall business performance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Proactively identify business opportunities by analysing market trends and changes in market dynamics, providing actionable insights to support growth initiatives.
• Enhance data quality and reliability by improving market research and data analysis functions, ensuring that analytics are insightful and actionable for strategic decision-making.
• Develop and implement business processes and surveys to assess strategy understanding and execution, maximizing productivity and profitability of internal resources.
• Work closely with insights manager to share data and results to wider organization in an easy to digest manner, and to enable storytelling with data. Identify micro and macro-economic factors to identify the primary indicators affecting market dynamics across MEA allowing the organization to plan for future changes more affectively.
• Development of New Dashboards and Tools

• Work with internal and external stake holders to lead creations of new Dashboards and tools to enable process simplification Cross-Functional Teams
• Ensuring any new dashboard or tool is creating in line with AstraZeneca's data policies and best practices, (e.g., reusability, scalability, easy for end users)

Essential for the role

• Strong Critical thinking with ability approach problems logically and make informed decisions.
• Experience data analytics and data exploration
• Experience with data clean up and preparation.
• Experience creating maintaining dashboards and reports
• Expert in MS Excel and Power point
• Experience with IQVIA data and platforms
• Seeks to build and maintain both internal and external relationships to support driving performance
• Self-driven and independent working
• Strongly driven by AZ global values and conduct
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including oral and written
• Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment that emphasizes teamwork
• Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities
• Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines

Desirable for the role

• Excellent skills with Power BI, power query and data visualisation
• Knowledge of programming language and fundamentals of programming
• Experience with process automation
• Understanding of IQVIA data and their platforms, with knowledge on their market definitions and ATCs
• Experience in MEA countries
