Will work closely with other faculty members to ensure that the curriculum is current, relevant, and meets the program's objectives. Program Courses covered by position (one or more): Principles of Business Analytics, Business System Analysis, Systems Design, Business Intelligence and Knowledge Management, Database Design and Implementation, Big-Data and Advanced Data Mining, Data Visualization Techniques and Tools, Advanced Business Analytics, Applied Data Analytics and Reporting, Ethics and Security in Analytic, ERP Systems, Business Analytics Research Project. Key Accountabilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. ? Develops and delivers lectures and assessments for business analytics courses in the higher college?s business analytics program in order to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to work as data engineers, business intelligence professionals and business analysts. ? Develops course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials in order to ensure student will be able to analyze, report and data-engineer business-related datasets to support organizational decision-making, while demonstrating the ability to work independently, or in teams, to solve complex business problems, using contemporary business analytic tools. ? Develops and implements program policies, procedures, and initiatives. ? Collaborates with other faculty members and program coordinators to ensure that the curriculum is current, relevant, and meets the program's objectives. ? Creates and grades assignments, exams, and other assessments. ? Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and other academic information. ? Provides feedback and supports to students to help them achieve their academic and professional goals. Maintains open communication with students about their performance in the program. ? Offers support to students outside of class, such as office hours or online discussion forums, to help them succeed in the course. ? Stays up-to-date with industry developments and trends to ensure that the program remains relevant and competitive. Conducts research to ensure that program content is up-to-date and relevant. ? Attends faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other higher college events as required. ? Serves as an academic advisor to students and participate in other student-centered activities. ? Participates in program and department meetings to discuss curriculum, assessment, and other academic issues. ? Participates in university-wide committees or initiatives related to teaching and learning, to help promote best practices and improve student outcomes. ? Serves as a mentor to other faculty members or student teachers, offering guidance and support on teaching practices and pedagogy. ? Perform any other relevant task as directed by direct superior. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations and/or Experience Academic background includes a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business analytics. Minimum 5 years related industrial experience, with preferred minimum of 2 years of university level teaching experience. Required expertise includes deep understanding of: Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Management, Data Science, Quantitative Sciences, Statistics, Knowledge Management, Management/Decision Sciences, Management Information Systems. Licenses/Certificates (minimum 2):Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), SAS Certified Data Scientist - IBM Certified Data Scientist, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, Project Management Professional (PMP), IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (AAC), IIBA Certification in Business Data Analytics (CBDA), IQBBA Certified Foundation Level Business Analyst (CFLBA), IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE), PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PBA), SimpliLearn Business Analyst Master?s Program Language Skills English communications and presentation skills are a must. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, faculty members, clients and the general public.
