Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the vital link between our business objectives and our technical capabilities. You will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, gathering and documenting requirements, and ensuring solutions meet business needs. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for using data to drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Elicitation & Analysis:
• Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Operations, IT) to understand and articulate business challenges and opportunities.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather and validate business requirements.
• Analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources to distinguish user requests from underlying true needs.
• Documentation:
• Create clear, concise, and comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, and functional specifications.
• Develop process flows, use cases, wireframes, and mockups to illustrate current and future states.
• Maintain a prioritized product backlog (in an Agile environment) or requirements traceability matrix.
• Solution Design & Validation:
• Work closely with development teams, architects, and QA analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Propose and evaluate potential solutions to ensure they are feasible, cost-effective, and align with strategic goals.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the delivered solution meets the defined requirements and business needs.
• Stakeholder Management & Communication:
• Act as a central point of communication between business stakeholders and the technical team.
• Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate findings, proposals, and project status effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and secure consensus on project scope and requirements.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
• Identify trends, patterns, and insights from data to recommend ongoing process improvements.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business analysis.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems and develop solutions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing proficiency.
• Experience with requirements gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation.
• Proficiency in tools such as:
• Diagramming: Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Miro
• Project Management: Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, Asana
• Collaboration: Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams
• Data Analysis: Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs), SQL (a plus), Power BI/Tableau (a plus)
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis), or AAC (Agile Analysis Certification).

• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, and system architecture.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
